Solora Strengthens Its Position as a Comprehensive Energy Partner with the Acquisition of Battery Specialist Posetron

MERELBEKE / GENK, March 5, 2026 – Solora, a leading player in both the construction and management of solar energy systems, batteries, and charging stations, today announced the acquisition of Posetron, a company specializing in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems). With this strategic acquisition, Solora strengthens its position as a comprehensive energy partner that fully supports customers in their energy transition.

Although Solora is already a well-established player in the battery sector, the acquisition of Posetron serves as a catalyst for the further expansion of these activities. Combining Posetron’s many years of expertise with Solora’s existing knowledge creates powerful synergy. This enables Solora to address complex issues related to energy storage, grid balancing, and the optimization of the “total cost of ownership” for its customers in an even more targeted manner. In a context of increasing grid congestion, this is becoming increasingly relevant. A BESS also makes it possible to specifically optimize the size of the grid connection—and thus the associated grid costs—in relation to actual consumption.

Posetron has built a strong reputation as an expert in battery systems. A crucial part of the acquisition is preserving this knowledge. Managing Directors Chris Dirx and Frank Vandijck will remain on board and lead the BESS activities within the Solora Group.

This strong local presence, together with the active divisions in the Netherlands and France, forms a solid foundation for the group’s further international growth.

The transaction is supported by the investment fund Junction Growth Investors and BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity, which joined Solora at the end of 2024 to bolster its growth ambitions.
