Freelance Accountant

Our customers rely on us to take care of every aspect of their energy journey: from solar energy and storage (BESS) to energy management (EMS). That relationship of trust begins with construction, but its success depends entirely on what comes next: installations that continue to perform day after day.

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Team.

What does the role entail?

As a Freelance Accountant, you’ll be part of the Finance Team and report directly to the CFO. Together with your colleagues, you’ll contribute to the team’s efficient and high-quality operations in a versatile, end-to-end role.

Your key responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the complete A-to-Z accounting for one of our Belgian entities, from posting purchase and sales invoices to tracking them
• You will process payments through our online payment system and actively monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances
• You play an active role in month-end closings, tax returns, and audits
• You will handle the accounting for projects using the percentage-of-completion method
• You will serve as the point of contact for the accounting email inbox and communicate professionally with customers and suppliers

• hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/finance
• have already gained relevant work experience in a similar role
• have a good knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation (BE GAAP) and tax regulations (VAT and corporate income tax)
• are willing to travel to our subsidiary in Genk once a week
• are familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• work accurately and organize your work efficiently
• are both customer- and team-oriented and possess strong communication skills
• have knowledge of Exact Online—that’s a big plus!
